Our Story

Piggy & Kin (formerly Piggykin) was founded in 2019 in Vancouver, BC by Nivi Charles while she was expecting her first child. What began as a search for the softest, most comforting swaddles for her baby soon became something more.

With years of experience working alongside artisan communities across India, Nivi brought together her love for thoughtful design and traditional craftsmanship to create Piggy & Kin’s first collection of hand block-printed muslin swaddles and blankets—pieces made with care, meant to be used and loved every day.

Where We Are Today

Three moves and two more babies later, Nivi and her family have settled in Calgary, Alberta. Piggy & Kin has gently evolved into a lifestyle brand for modern mamas and their little ones—rooted in softness, simplicity, and intentional living.
